Going Deep with your Trusted Clients Ryan Kugler
Ryan is an entrepreneur and strategist with over 25 years of experience in building profitable businesses from conception within both Fortune-500 organizations as well as newly launched startups. He operates on a few key principles: “Be nice to everyone, always return phone calls, and stay in communication with everyone.
Born in Chicago, Ryan moved to Los Angeles at a young age. He took a strong interest in the film industry and made his way onto several studio lots. At age 13, a chance encounter with Ted Danson on the set of the hit TV show ‘Cheers’ developed into a friendship. At the urging of Danson, Ryan wrote and directed his short film entitled “The Question.” The film was shot on the Paramount lot and starred Ted Danson, Kirstie Alley, Woody Harrelson, and George Wendt. This solidified his passion for the entertainment industry.
Since 1998, Ryan has launched several companies. These include; Plan B, which helps manufacturers liquidate excess inventory, A5 Events, which organizes corporate events for large corporations and Nonprofits organizations to help raise funds with charity events, and Ideal Content which works with Fortune 500 companies producing new (and unique) high-end marketing products.
As a public face for the entertainment industry, Ryan has landed coverage both on broadcast outlets and in print. TV appearances include; the CBS Early Show, ABC7 News, and KTLA Prime Time News. He has also been featured in the Entrepreneur Magazine, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Business Journal, Moviemaker Magazine, and the New York Times.
When Ryan is not building businesses, he uses his vast experience and knowledge to speak at entertainment-industry conferences and seminars. He provides real-world advice to filmmakers and producers. He spoke about film distribution at the Burbank International Film Festival.
Ryan is highly involved in the community. He is the Executive director of the Say No To Drugs Charity Race. He also serves on the boards of Burbank YMCA and Great Toluca Neighborhood Council.
In October 2019, Ryan and his A5 Events team were recognized by the Clean Water Cause for their unending efforts to fund and raise clean water awareness. Clean Water Cause provides safe, clean drinking water to people in Africa and South America.
