Pam Dooley

Pam, who grew up as an athlete and plant lover, earned the nickname "Plants" from her teammates during her collegiate volleyball years. She began working in the green industry at the age of 15, spending summers alongside her grandfather at the local nursery/garden center. When the Olympics came to Atlanta in 1996, she helped install and provide ongoing maintenance at the athlete’s welcome center, allowing her the opportunity to meet elite athletes that she grew up watching and caring for landscapes.  Pam’s passion for the industry led her to a nursery management position in South Carolina for seven years and eventually back to Atlanta in 2003, where she went to the University of Georgia to work on her horticulture degree. She started Plants Creative in 2005, with a truck and lawn mower, and now has a growing team of 50 people who believe in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Pam attributes the growth of the business to working hard, learning to ask good questions, fostering relationships with smart people who share similar values and creating a strong brand. She enjoys weekends in the North Georgia mountains with her partner, spending summers on the lake and cooler seasons in front of warm fires.
